Don't think all the ones thinking it's a con job understand how antibodies work.
The entire idea behind the booster is that you want to keep it in the blood during an active pandemic, it's the same with smallpox and other vaccines.
One of covid's effects is a delay in the immune response, even if you're vaccinated, so important if you want to curb spread to have booster, and for anyone that is older/suffers from immune problems to get a booster shot.
The question is more time frame, South Africa currently had a very late roll-out of vaccines, in Europe it was decided that it's 270 days after second shot about that you should have to get it, you can get before if you want though/are part of vulnerable population.

So in South Africa, would say no to booster till early next year, no point right now.

I don't think you understand why they're calling it a con.

Still waiting for someone to show me where the extreme emergency is... but never mind, help create more superbugs by over-medicating, all in the name of corporate greed...

I'll be having mine when they invite me. It's supposed to be 6 months after your second jab, so I have a couple of weeks to wait

A superbug is a pathogen that has become resistant to drugs used to treat it. It's usually referring to things like anti-viral and antibiotic agents (things used to directly target the pathogen).

It doesn't apply to vaccines, which stimulate your immune system to fight the pathogen instead of directly fighting the pathogen for you.

It's the same direction, totally overdone. We'll see what their new pills end up leading to.

They're totally different approaches to dealing with pathogens. It's not the "same direction".

The world is full of Facebook and Youtube "experts" these days.
Simple concerns, no expert opinion involved - the direction is abuse, there is no extreme emergency. Nothing wrong with taking health precautions, everything wrong with being conned into overdoing it.

I don't particularly want it but as long as it's a requirement for work I have little choice in the matter.
A great reason to take medication!! A self explanatory indication of how lunatic this thing has become.
