Are you single?

i'm staying away from "official" relationships for a while, just playing the field, juggling a bit and enjoying the things Nocturnity pointed out... but i must admit that i do miss the "us" factor...

Yep, that's what I miss the most. That sense of belonging, of being part of an "us" instead of just a "me".

And hugging. I know, it's odd, but of all the physical things to miss, I miss hugging. Or just sitting close together, next to each other, so your legs touch.

Hmm. Time to change the subject before I get really depressed :o

I'm married with a 4 month old baby. It's great, we're very happy. We complement each other well. Those who rant on about how great it is to be single have probably never been in a healthy relationship.

Oi! Get the hell outta here! This is the singles thread, damnit!:D

Yeah, but. You have no-one to hug. You have no-one to share pizza with. You have no-one to come to who'll make you feel better when you've had a crappy day. You have no "us". You have no-one to share chores with.

I have really good friends who fill most of those roles. I have a few female friends for "hugs" and general "fluffy" scenarios. I also have a very close friend who I see almost every day. I honestly don't miss relationships all that much. I spent most of my life being single and I always tend to feel suppressed in relationships. To each their own, though! :)

There is a time in life for everything. Since life = constant change, you will not be single forever, nor will you be in a relationship forever.

I lived alone for quite a while, with only short-lived relationships, nothing of any permanence. I was the quintessential loner. So it was quite hard for me to share my space, not to mention my soul, with another human being.

Now I find it just amazing to have a partner, a "buddy" that travels with me through the ups and downs of life.

It is two months with this girl on Thursday! So far still very very happy she really is awesome!

Yup. Single for the first time in years.. not sure how its working out for me yet...

Still really enjoying single life. Went fishing in Mosselbay for a week and took a dude friend along. Drank beer, spoke sh$t and braaied all week. Got home, organized a potjie and a few awesome friends and had fun. I appreciate the freedom to hop on the bike and take off without worrying about what someone else might have planned.

In the end, that's the way to roll.

Maybe we should start a MyBB dating club. :D

Only problem with that is that there's like only 10 woman on this forum.

I have only ever had short two or three week flings, NEVER been in love, its overated from my observations.

I would like a relationship to last a little longer, like I wanna get to that two year place without actually having to put the effort in...guess I am fat ass lazy!:P
