Are you smart enough to break this code?

When I saw the code, I knew exactly where to start... I took the mouse cursor to the top right hand corner and clicked on that "X". I then proceeded to get another strong cup of coffee. By the time I got there, the code was completely lost on me. What ensued was pure unadulterated bliss, as the pain of all I saw had sufficiently dissipated... :)

Best. Response. EVAH.

Code writer

I'm a developer, not a tester. I write code, I don't break it.

Same here, even code for workshops and counter sales.
But the listed codes don't make sense. Surely the FBI.CID, etc, should have a website for deciphering codes.
They could well be informed this way.

So I "solved" the first one as fast as I could copy and paste, the same for the second one. The third one took me 15 min. No coding required, pattern recognition only.

So this basically just requires knowledge of existing tools out there to solve? Who the hell even uses this stuff?

Anyway I've got to the 3rd "puzzle" now. Managed to decode the first two or three words of the 3rd puzzle and the rest is gibberish. Looks like it starts off with an instruction to email someone. Either the decoding went wrong or this is another code within a code that was within a code lol. At this point I'm done though :)

I honestly don't even remember what conversions I used. Never played with or even heard of these tools/codes before. Well I suppose at least if I ever come across it again I will recognize it :)

Something must have gone corrupted the encoded message. Only a single decode is needed to get the full message, weird that it only partially decodes.

Challenge1: brain**** code - when run displays a message
Challenge2: base64 encoded brain**** code - when run displays a different message
Challenge3: also base64 encoded. the content seems 'encrypted'. decrypting this would probably yield more BF code. Still working on this one.

Last one is rot13 encoded base64

Yeah, also found the last one is ROT13 Base 64, however once I get 2 and 3 into the same format as 1 I am clueless as to solve those +.-<>[] strings.

Is challenge 1 some sort of Rorschach test because I see a naked lady. :D

It's a programming language called brainf**k

Just google for "online brainf4ck interpreter" (replace 4 with u)
Click on the first link

paste the -[]<>.,+ stuff in there and click on run ;)
Thanks! I learned something new today.

The base64 one was disapointingly easy. ROT13 took a while.

Nice little challenge. Every computer science student would have come across something similar during their studies. Best thing is that we get to cheat for this one :D
Took me 20 minutes to solve, thanks to the posts on this thread. May have taken me an hour if I had to figure it out myself.
