EXCLUSIVE: Armscor leaks reveal VIP jet windfall
Mystery surrounds the payment of R230m in just two years for the maintenance of the state’s VIP jets to private aviation firm Execujet.

News24 can reveal that Armscor, the state-owned arms manufacturer, paid ExecuJet millions to maintain the state's ailing fleet. The company also leases private jets to the state.

The ExecuJet invoices form part of a larger tranche of Armscor data dumped on the dark web following a breach of Armscor’s website by hackers claiming to have links to the global “hacktivist” group Anonymous this week.

Guess we'll just get a bunch of lies again and nothing will happen.

So the Air Force are now outsourcing it? Makes sense (maybe cost effective and leaving it to the experts) but how they do it doesn't (use another company that doesn't also lease you jets, to avoid conflict of interest)

If you own aircraft, it actually makes sense to have the aircraft run by a company like Execujet who do the maintenance and staff the pilots and then your aircraft is leased out on charter as well.

Except out aircraft aren't leased out. Instead we have a situation where we are paying a ****load for maintenance on our own aircraft and then spending even more leasing aircraft because apparently our aircraft "are a liability".

It's a frikken farce. Zumba still refuses to fly Inkwazi which is perfectly fine but instead spends upwards of 2 mil to fly to France on an aircraft that is older and less capable than his. And then because of the type of lease they have opted for, it is still costing the Airforce money even if it's sitting on the ground doing nothing.

And the company that's getting the leasing contracts is Paramount which is a huge ANC backer.

Who are the Execute  Do they have anything to do with the infamous trio of brothers??

I am sure it is very costing to maintain a jet guys!!! I mean how much does it cost to buy it?

You know... These "HACKS" need to continue - whenever they happen, they show how GUILTY the places are and what they are HIDING!

I love it.

Never makes sense to have a middleman making all the profit and doing nothing.
