Article: Apple Samsung battle continues

I agree with your sentiment that patens are a problem and should be abolished, but you should at least check what you say first as it discredits your other statements.

I was being facetious.

My Etch-a-sketch is a rectangle with rounded corners too :p

Samsung has blatantly copied (almost) everything Apple did

Thank gawd that's not true - we'd all be walking around with 2nd rate cellphones with limited functionality in our pockets!

But having said that, patents are there for a reason. If Samsung violated them, they must be held accountable

+1

Like the icons ... absolutely insane has a camera logo for their camera ... and a green phone to answer. They need to answer for that IMO

You're right. That must have been the reason Samsung did it now. And of course, HTC brought out a real gold phone (with a back-facing fingerprint scanner) so they definitely weren't looking at Apple even a bit.

The fingerprint scanner was done a long time ago. Motorola Atrix from more than 2 years ago.

You may think so - but Apple and Samsung don't. Samsung has blatantly copied (almost) everything Apple did. Apple brought out a gold iPhone. How did Samsung response? By brining out a gold S4 a few weeks later.
Does it still hurt when you are this wrong or are you used to it by now?
This time Samsung finds itself on the defensive as Apple fans accused it of copying the gold iPhone 5S with its gold Galaxy S4.
Samsung revealed the gold Galaxy S4 to the world last week, but the phone was actually announced in the Middle East in late August and launched in the region before the iPhone 5S was even unveiled - and there lies only part of Samsung's argument.
In fact, on Sept. 28 the official Samsung blog Samsung Tomorrow published a non-comprehensive chronicle of its history with gold handsets, the first of which actually dates back to 2004.

...

And according to the company's blog post, Samsung's first gold phones were the Anycall SCH-E470, SPH-E3200 and SPH-E3250 from 2004.
Since then it launched gold-colored phones (some even with real gold) in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013, including the Samsung Galaxy Golden flip phone this year. Not all were widely available (or available at all), but they existed nonetheless.
And the gold Galaxy S4 was launched in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar in September.

roll on billions
Oh and the colours white, black, blue, and silver
Someone else may have the other kukkie colours :p

They did. It sucked. You think there would have been a gold S4 or fingerprint scanning htc phone if not for the iPhone 5s though, like, honestly?
