Article: Beached whales will be put to death

Same thing happened last year ?

These whales just want to die... perhaps its a thing they do.

No amount of prayer circles and unshaven fannies will help the situation.

Oxford English dictionary authoritive enough ?
No, Arthur is the ultimate authority - if he says the term is properly applied only to people, then everyone else who disagrees is wrong, obviously. He doesn't have to provide sources for his information either, he just has to state it is so...

My heart goes to these poor creatures.

It is the ones that traditionally migrate from Gauteng to Camps Bay over the summertime that are of particular concern.
While quite apparent & obvious when sunning themselves on the sand during daylight hours, it is after dark that they employ all manner of cunning disguise in their primary objective - lulling the locals into a false sense of complacency with the promise of coitus.

It is these that should be rounded up, harpooned, & returned to Gauteng as candles !

Hehe. Thanks, Joelus! :D. I wouldn't put it so strongly. YYIKYABS.

The sources are Out There on the Internet, along with convincing arguments that the moon's not made of cheese. Those actually interested in this sort of thing will find 'em. Those not, won't.

Here's another bone: the term "murder" is properly applied only to humans. For similar reasons. And, yes, I know some disagree. Citing sources is easy. Authoritative sources something else entirely. Oh, the OED expressly wimped out about 45 years ago, when the same hippies took over.

Is it not also applied to crows as is a dazzle to zebra ?
