Good post. I'm not in principle opposed to the idea of animal rights. It's naturally a very broad and complex idea, but I support anything that minimises unnecessary suffering and harm.

some people see other people as anything BUT animals ;)

remember, chimpanzee's don't have rights because we don't give them any. we don't need to give every human rights either

I'm also against killing for "sport",that's a waste of life,but don't tell me you are against people eating meat?:confused::wtf:
 
I love eating slaughtered cow flesh. Medium rare with chips please. All these bleeding hearts can go to hell. A monkey is a monkey. If one monkey could put another in a cage, it would gladly do it. It's the way of the world.

and one day if people in the amazon decide to eat you, we shouldn't cry for you? ;)
 
Great apes, and all other self-aware animals, should have a right to life. Those animals that aren't, don't. Those animals however should still have a right not to suffer, but if you really wanted to you should always be able to hunt them for sport / etcetera.

Hunting purely for sport is wrong imo. I have no problem if you are going to eat what you have hunted though.

I'm firmly of the opinion that I'm as much meat as any other animal. Should a lion / other predator manage to hunt me down, bon apetit to it.

Well looking at my cat, that thing has more intelligence than Julius Malema LOL. Comes to fetch me from the car when i get home, forces me to give him milk, or else..., Throws a attitude when I am cross with him. Sure animals are not people, but they are also not stupid. Looking at the one Leopard Seal Video on youtube, a photographer taking photo's of them, this wild animal knew this was a human and it knew it's surroundings, started catching penguins to feed this person so he would not starve lol.
 
We earned our way up the evolutionary chain. Ain't no monkey going to come and crash the party :twisted:
