I think I agree with them.
The Democratic Alliance has resolved to support hydraulic fracturing in the Karoo, provided that it does not damage the environment
Thats the kind of bullsht only the opposition with no actual obligation to do something can spin. Frackin is inherently dangerous to the environment so their "provided that" clause is just a bullsht way to get the best of both worlds. Yay political brownie points! The Democratic Alliance has resolved to support hydraulic fracturing in the Karoo, provided that it does not damage the environment.
The DA is pro business why would they not support fracking.
The root of the problem. The DA has too many different ideologies backing them. There really should be a separate green party.Because generally the environmentalists are also well-heeled DA supporters.

Boksburg - The DA's resolution on fracking has been withdrawn following a vote by delegates.
The party on Sunday afternoon re-examined the conditions of the resolution with the objective of amending it.
One delegate called for the withdrawal of the resolution and this was endorsed following a vote by the Democratic Alliance's congress.
Earlier the party had resolved to support hydraulic fracturing in the Karoo, provided that it did not damage the environment.
The party's 2012 federal congress in Boksburg had said it would support the process, provided government reviewed current applications by gas companies to ensure compliance with legislation.
It had wanted government to initiate a strategic environmental assessment of "current unknowns" in order to facilitate responsible decision-making.
Pity, they had a chance to play a role in meaningfully reduce CO2 emissions.Nope
I think Nkandla in KZN would be a good place to frack. It's already paid for by the SA taxpayer, and I don't care if that environment is destroyed
