Article: Dog food removed from shops

Three dog food products suspected to have caused 70 dogs to die have been taken off the market, the department of agriculture said.

Buddies Complete Dog Food, Legends Dog Food, and Hi-Pro Dog Food were no longer allowed to be sold.

Where were they manufacturered? China or here? Very sad though - some people lost pets because of this.

Thank god we did not buy any of those! We got ALPO and eukenuba (spelling lol).

This is something which is happening way too often for my liking... man, if I lost my dog like this I'd probably go Osama on someone's ass!

Wait a minute, will you fly a plane into their homes or launch an attack with an MK4 rifle at 1am.

I only use Hills.

This is not the 1st time something like this has happened.
I hope the poor pooches didn't suffer. :(

Ofcourse not!!!

I said that I'll go Osama .. meaning I'll get someone to fly a plane into their homes or get someone to launch an attack with an MK 4 rifle at 1am.

Never said I have the balls to do so myself :)

Why doesn't the government like make these companies get the food tested by independent people on a monthly and random basis?

Like feeding it to the ANC elite? We can only hope.

Deadly pet food AGAIN? And from two separate factories too. Hope they do a proper investigation.
Could be a dodgy supplier.

those phuktards think they can make easy money and get away with it. i hope they die a slow painful death.

I agree, this problem is not being looked into deep enough. Some people (like me) really love their dogs a lot! And to lose your dog over something as senseless as this is just not acceptable.

This needs to be dealt with more harshly... a stupid press release and apology should definitely not suffice if even 1 dog dies as a result of negligence ffs.
