Article: Domestic workers minimum wage increase

I can understand that they want more, living on R2k per month is insane. On the other hand, many computer chain stores don't pay their technicians (skilled/semi-skilled I guess) much more than R3k per month. Unskilled labour and skilled labour can't really have the same pay.

They are meritorious, read the posts directed at you, and research threads that Visser has posted in.

I did look at some of his threads. Maybe you could explain to me the entire context and what is it about Visser which makes Ranhir's remarks just in this regard. ;)

Or maybe a reasonable person can't find it because it's not there or can be interpreted differently to your interpretation.

I think it's obvious that the comment was directed at Visser. Hence I asked for the context from Randhir. I did not ask you.

Are you Randhir's white knight? Can he or she not speak for herself or himself? Is this something controversial?

I wouldn't really call being a basic pc tech as skilled, building and basic home pc troubleshooting is about as difficult as being a domestic , it does however have better growth perspectives tho :)

Thank you. Now how easy was that? You could have just said that in his business this guy prefers to employ economically struggling whites.

I wonder why this made such a big impact on people. And why this should translate into him necessarily hiring a maid which must be white. We don't have a maid, and we're happy to clean ourselves. I don't see anything strange about that or about Visser not having a maid. House cleaning in lieu of gym is good.

Are you saying that the minimum wage is too high? Really?

Personally I think the min wage does harm because already I have heard people boasting how well they pay their staff because it is well above the monimum wage
