Article: Drop all African borders: EFF

The Economic Freedom Fighters will advocate the ultimate integration of the African continent by eliminating national borders, according to its founding manifesto.

The "protest movement" led by Julius Malema said the borders between African countries were "unnecessary", especially those between South Africa and Botswana, Lesotho, and Swaziland.
 
Why is MyBB given this political party such a platform?

:D I actually agree, but it's a ridiculous idea. It's even more ridiculous when you consider that Malema is a nationalist. So what he's really saying is - we need a bigger South Africa.

What does that accomplish? We're the ones who stand to lose - we can't manage our existing problems, and you want to introduce more?
 
I agree with him - for a change. The borders in Africa have little to do with dividing different ethnic groups.(like we know them from Europe) Mind you, most African borders have been drawn around the table by colonial powers. Did you know that the southern border between SA and Mozambique divides one of the ethnic tribes right thru the middle. Confusion I know but this is Africa. Malema does all the right things to get voted in :D

Which is exactly why we'd be the only ones that could make it happen. I fully support a larger landmass. Especially when you look at untapped potential in these other states. The problem is obviously that we'll be importing problems as well. Either way it's a pie in the sky type dream. It's not going to happen.

well remove the borders and I guess we could become part of the larger Zimbabwe and Bob can be our new president

Who presides over it in order to ensure that it's free and fair? Do you think that other countries would be happy allow the IEC to do that? Of course not - Bob would want his guys to oversee it and ditto for everyone else.

but then you'll annoy Mswati, he is already the King of Swaziland after all and I'm sure he'd love to have the whole of SA bow down before him
