Article: Drunk driver caught doing 216km/h

A driver was arrested for driving 216km/h on N4 near Witbank on Saturday, the Mpumalanga community safety, security and liaison department said.

The speedster was believed to be driving under the influence of alcohol, the department said in a statement.
 
Was he drunk or was he believed to be drunk......

Innocent until proven guilty and what not....just a thought.....

In any case, still an idiot and even more so if he was under the influence.
 
Well, take his license away permanently. Does not belong on our roads with an attitude like that.
 
I have to admit, driving on the N1 at 03:00 and 01:00 this past week it was pretty damn tempting to put my foot down, and a few people were doing just that, flying past me when I was doing about 130 :wtf:

The police would have obviously done a breathalyser test. They don't just generally 'assume'.

Nope.
The police (SAPS) [generally] don't carry breathalisers on them. Only Metro does... sometimes.

Friday night I had some idiot drive so close to me that when he flashed his lights the lights only went in the sides of the car! Of cause I ignore the guy because driving up my arse like that means I can't change lanes(I need to slow down to drive behind slower cars to let an idiot pass.. No thanks besides that can cause an accident).

He then proceeded to over take and swing across multiple lanes driving in excess of 130km/hr on a BUSY highway. <-- why aren't these guys caught, locked up etc? I mean the guys driving fast on a mostly empty road.. Ok, but these arrogant folk are more of a danger.

Been thinking lately maybe I should just not change car & instead get those taxi grills for the rear. If the idiot smashes into me from behind he is at fault
 
Join the metro cops reserves. I'm sure you'll be able to catch those guys then.
 
Confiscate car and license, withhold license for 3 yrs and crush the car.

I doubt you'll find anyone supporting this idiot. It's one thing to do 200 in a car.. Another thing if he is drunk while doing it. Crush the car. Lock him up and take the license away. If he has one.
