The diffrence I think is between sold and registered. Many people bought the thing but never registered it

But, assume for one moment that the tolls do relieve congestion and make it quicker for you to get to work. Is anyone going to use that time saving to spend more time at the office, or will they sleep in a bit later?

And those people who are displaced to more congested roads because they cannot afford the tolls? Well, they will take longer to get to work and have to compensate by getting up earlier. This will make them more tired and, hence, less productive.

There has been a significant increase of e-tag registrations in Gauteng, the SA National Roads Agency Ltd said on Wednesday.

Most of the registrations had taken place at mall outlets, it said in a statement.

The agency was unable to provide a figure but the Beeld reported that more than 350 000 e-tags had been registered for e-tolling.

we should actually not even debate the stupid argument that increased productivity will cover the costs..... if the roads were built using a fuel levy, we would have had the productivity benefit IN ANY CASE and would NOT HAVE THE RIDICULOUS ADMIN COSTS - so arguing the way Botha is, is stupid, and to try to defeat his argument, is unnecessary

Remember they changed some information maybe those that signed the old agreement has now been un registered?

Or maybe people are just lying. I tried the 702 website it doesn't allow me to go in to see who said what.
