Article: EFF disappointed by racist messages

The Economic Freedom Fighters was disappointed by some of its members who displayed placards that carried racist messages at its launch, the party said on Tuesday.

"The EFF has learned with great disappointment that some of its members displayed banners with [messages] that seek to portray and reduce this revolutionary movement [as] a racist organisation," the party's Gauteng spokesman Patrick Sindane said in a statement.
 
Man I so wanted to post and call this.... Same as violent/destructive strikers that were NEVER members of the organisation striking.
 
I'd feel more sympathy if the people who made it were held responsible
 
I might be wrong here .... but I doubt ordinary members would be going and having large professionally printed banners and placards made up. I doubt these members would be going and spending their own money on this. I am pretty sure this came from the mother ship.

I second your thoughts here - if these where just made by members without the knowledge of the "mother ship", these posters would have been on some cut out cardboard.....
 
No never it wasn't us, out leader just said the same thing in his speech. But our words were taken out of context.. again. Like always.

Agreed. It also goes hand in hand what Malema always chanted at any chance he got! Nothing changed apart from the fact that someone is paying EFF to have an existence and I bet on the ANC!

Well, the guy claimed it was the Katlehong branch that did it. So not the 'mother ship', but definitely a legitimate branch.

Yeah that's what I read as well. Clever move of them to distance themselves from these statements, Julias obviously learnt his lesson the last time.
 
Surely the "mother ship" would have allowable banners and such.. so even if the Katlehong branch printed it, it would have been approved by the "mother ship"

Not necessarily. It's happened to the ANC and DA before, too. Where branches make their own posters/placards which aren't approved by the mother body.

Precisely my thoughts Ockie, also the kind of English used is alien to EFF supporters. Surely people can see through this farce? It also didn't come from EFF leadership, some agents gave it to people on the ground.
 
If they can't even control their inaugural rally, how the hell are they supposed to run an entire country??? :wtf:

The "leader" is responsible for what his party does. Malema's words have been spoken and time for the cANCer to act, lets see if they are interested in the whites.
 
As a black man I was very disgusted by that banner, embarrassed even. :( I have to say that I expected a lot more people to be vocal about this. One can only imagine the out cry if FF had displayed a similar banner.
