Article: FF Plus to top elections ballot paper

The Freedom Front Plus will top to 2014 general elections ballot paper, the Electoral Commission of SA (IEC) said on Wednesday.

The party was selected during a ballot paper draw at the signing of the IEC's electoral code of conduct in Midrand, north of Johannesburg.
 
Really? Well, I guess I had better vote for them then if they are at the top of the Ballot Paper!

Have you gotten your VF+ T-shirt yet? Otherwise you shouldn't vote on them, even though they are on top of the list so they must be the right party. All other parties want to reinstitate Apartheid right?
 
Stupid,

Parties should be listed on the Ballot paper in the order of Smallest to Biggest.
So Basically ANC at the bottom

What's wrong with alphabetically? Surely there's nothing for people to get up in arms about then, is there? Or is that solution too simple for the IEC?

You want the ANC to change their name to AAA ANC?
 
There is statistical proof that items at the top of a voting page get more votes than those at the bottom, or so my stats lecturer says (and I would trust the guy on that front). Whether it holds up in a national election is a different story.
