The ANC Youth League on Thursday demanded that Limpopo learners still waiting for textbooks be given a free pass.

"We demand that all learners be given the obligatory pass as the situation is stimulated by the government itself," provincial spokesman Klaas Nono Mabunda said in a statement.

Then free past next year because you don't have a ****ing clue what you're learning, as you have no foundation for it...
 
So when will universities make entrance exams compulsory, the grade 12 results mean nothing anymore

and they do not think that it is them/their mother body that is running the country .... so who is to blame for the kids not having books?? why are they not calling for marches and resignations?? is it because they also want their turn at the trough?? and this is just a way to appease the masses as well as keep them illiterate and still voting for them!!

So, if they are given a free pass, do they want 4 or 6 distinctions for free?
 
Fine, give them a free pass and remove what little weight a Matric certificate still has. All that will happen is that all universities and employers will simply reject any applications from Limpopo or at the very least require further tests to be written before entry is allowed. This should happen already in my opinion, but that's besides the point.
 
I wish the media would ignore the ANCYL, these kinds of stories are just not newsworthy. There are bigger more important issues that need attention.

I see a 12 year long bridge course at universities if this goes any further ...
 
Let them pass, keep them uneducated, grades mean nothing in la-la land anyway.

You gotta ask though, what kind of imbeciles are in control when government, with all those resources at its disposal cannot get books from a warehouse to schools so kids can learn? They can't even get the basics right for themselves.

God help Africa.
