Article: Gareth Cliff arrested for speeding

Controversial 5FM radio personality Gareth Cliff was arrested for speeding in Pretoria on Tuesday night, said Gauteng traffic police.

Cliff was caught driving 182 kilometres an hour in a 120km/h zone on the R21 in Lyttelton by the high speed unit, said Gauteng traffic police spokeswoman Busaphi Nxumalo.

182km/h that's not necessary, he's just not important enough to have to be somewhere that urgently!

“It is too late for him to get bail. He will spend the night at the police station and will appear in court tomorrow (Wednesday),” said Gauteng high-speed traffic Police Spokesman Busaphi Nxumalo. She said he would be charged with speeding and reckless driving.

“We arrested him at the Engen garage on the N1 as he was approaching the R31 travelling from Pretoria towards the east,” said Nxumalo. She said he was driving a Range Rover.

Even though I think your comment is spot on and funny... shame I hope they don't rape the poor guy he's a tiny guy he won't be able to fight them off. Unless he can fend them off with catty comments about their singing
 
Doing those speed in a Range Rover ? must have thought he had his own blue light brigade with him
 
The Sport could easily hit that speed. Tomorrow mornings show is going to be interesting. To those wishing him harm, I think it's really uncalled for.

Have you ever been to the Lyttelton Police Station? That place is so fricken busy you would have to be a really boistrous mofo to get jiggy with it there!!!! He's safe! Safe as houses!

In their defence, Gareth has on a few occasions used the "Bubba" phrase on his shows. Of course that doesn't mean that he deserves the payback. Nor the reacharound...
