Kotze and Andries Sithole were sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Kotze's ex-wife Ina Bonnette's son Conrad Bonnette, 19, and 10 years for kidnapping.

Judge Bert Bam found Kotze and Sithole guilty on Monday of killing Conrad.

Their co-accused, Pieta Mohlake and Sello Mphaka, were acquitted on the murder charge. However, each of the four was convicted of kidnapping, and of four charges relating to the rape of Ina Bonnette.

Mohlake and Mphaka received 10 years for kidnapping.

All four men were given a life sentence on the rape charges.

On charges relating to assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm Kotze received 15 years while the other three received eight years each.

Bonnette, who was in court on Wednesday, started crying as the sentence was read out. She was supported by family and friends.

Unfortunately Life isn't actually life.
Good sentence for rape though and hopefully setting a trend of life sentences for this disgusting crime.

Doesn't matter, his life is fked long after he gets out of prison. May as well just 404 himself now.

What a f***en freak. Who would do this to someone? Bring in Sharia law for legitimate justice!

Uh, yes please. Our current system has failed in every way.

Just because the current system has failed (no arguments there) does not make Sharia Law the immediate next best alternative.
I take it you are Muslim yourself, but please don't expect the rest of us to be OK with your Religiously motivated legal system.

I can imagine the headlines in 15 years or less if he gets off for good behaviour in the You magazine...
'Johan Kotze: I have paid for my crimes.'
I wish we the death penalty, because this case in particular demonstrates how evil this man is, and how unlikely it is he does or ever will feel remorse for his crimes.
