A lion that escaped from a private South African game reserve has been terrorising residents of the small northern town of Makhado for a week, police said on Thursday.

Police have been hunting for the beast, but so far have been chasing their tails.

That movie still scares the crap out of me.

I still remember driving past a field where the wind was softy blowing the tall stalks of grass in a slow wavy motion. The car doors suddenly felt like little protection.

We watched that movie on a windy night and afterwards we walked back up the hill (about 2km) to our local drinking hole/hangout, never seen such a bunch of nervous people jumping at every little sounds, eventually we double paced it up the hill First beer & chaser went down in a flash.

When I watch that movie the hair on my neck and arms still stand up.
