Article: Low carbohydrate conference planned

The first international low carbohydrate conference will be held in South Africa next year, Professor Tim Noakes said on Thursday.

"In February next year... we have got 14 of the best leading scientists in the low-carb field coming to talk in Cape Town," he told the Cape Town Press Club.

I am so going to this

Started my diet on Monday, actually feeling quite good. Not hungry at all.

I guess they are going to call it a meating?

Have lived a low carb lifestyle for many years - cannot even begin to imagine starting to eat sugar anymore. Feel ghastly if I take in too many carbs - tired and can't focus. Best thing!

Now they are all in one location, someone can spike their food with some carbs

Two weeks ago, I made the decision to cut my lunch samies and replace with protein (bold eggs). I also cut my sugar intake in half. Everything else I eat has stayed the same. After 7 days, my sprinting speed increased whereby friends commented positively without knowing what I was doing. Also my energy levels have increased noticiably.

Eating less and excising more does wonders.

Banting conference announced a week after TB Joshua's church collapses. Coincidence?

//Heads back to my full cream yoghurt and biltong

What's next? A "Balanced diet and calorie intake" conference?

Where they will tell people to use the Harris-Benedict equation and adapt their calorie intake to balance fats, proteins and carbohydrates to between 10-45%, and stay away from low GI carbs, take in enough vitamins and other micronutrients?
