Article: Malema vows radical action

The thing is, that ownership doesn't imply executive. Debswana is a case in point. That said, in this scenario, I wouldn't expect nationalization to mean anything other than an attempt to appropriate private assets, take control in the boardroom, appoint cronies and bleed it dry.

So basically, like any other government department.

It does not surprise me if all these strikes have been co-ordinated by Malema and Co, to de-stabilise the mining sector to make it look like the private mining sector is 'out-of-control', and that government needs to step in.

Hell, it won't surprise me if this whole Malema suspension thing was orchestrated so that he can now say whatever he pleases, and they still fund and support his ideologies.

Apparently AmPlats have shut down all mining operations in the country....

And tell me where are the people here now that said he would go away? I said, he is going nowhere, he will resurface.
With the backing he has, he is only going one way, straight to high level gvt.

Malema is an exceptionally stinky floater, of course he will resurface after several failed flushing attempts, but Zuma has quite a few toilet brushes at his disposal and will eventually find one that gets rid of Malema. The most promising toilet brush at Zuma's disposal is SARS and tax evasion charges with a lengthy jail term after confiscating Malema's ill-gotten gains.

Not all mining operations...only rustenburg operations which are in the vicinity of the Lonmin unrest.

Impala might close some of its operations in the area.

Ahhh ok, still its a big bloody decision to make in my opinion.
