Article: Million Marijuana March

Was just about to post that. What you doing following below the lion? :D I thought you followed Margaret Thatcher and stuff, would never have imagined you as someone who followed belowthelion :D

Im glad to see the cops showed restrained in the Cape Town march.

I don't follow it. Just was the first result on Google.

I agree of course. If it was not illegal 5 plants in a users home could keep him supplied and negate the needs for gangs and cartels and criminals to manage the supply chain.

I'll march to that.. ;)

So what is next? Legalise it and the next thing arises. Legalise that ....and so on, soon there will be no laws to stop these drugs.
Alcohol and ciggies should also be banned but we all know that's not gonna happen.

Then after that we should go after sugar and coffee. Both which can make people high, and sugar leads to millions of deaths a year. Yup people get addicted to it and die of diabetes :( I thought you didnt like nanny states? Am I wrong? :D

I agree, sugar is the craziest thing that was invented.

Great to see. I was already marching back in 2005 when I was 18 where there were only 100 peeps or so, so it's clearly growing.

I really wish there were more people privileged enough to have the luxury of spending 2 hours of their Saturday to march for such a cause. It would be incredibly ignorant to judge the march by the marchers (the pics). Believe you me there are hundreds thousands of people from all walks of life that would be there if they could. Believe you me most of those marchers are qualified professionals and your negativity does far less for society than them.

Marching for marijuana is about so much more than just wanting to get high without being a criminal. It is a pity that it just takes a few joints to teach years of compassion and understanding for others, something unlikely learnt otherwise.

I smoke it and I am pretty successful. This stigma that potheads have is backwards and false.

i was really just saying that this whole decriminalisation issue is really frustrating. i really don't see why some innocuous green plant is still such an issue. the whole thing is such a waste of time. :)

Even police think it's a joke. When I was 16, I was caught shortly after smoking a joint, and the cops calmed me down, told me I shouldn't smoke it and asked if I had any more because they hadn't smoked in years.

Man, i wish i was there !

They should advertise it on FB/Twitter, it can only grow !!! [yeah... pun intended]

They should plead their case at the high court :D

People are going to use it regardless if it is legal or not. The governments have 2 options, they can either legalize it and earn money from it or criminalise it and spend money fighting a war they will not win.

bloody hippies.

time to get rid of stupid and wasteful laws.
