Article Mistake corrections

Cutting WHAT exactly??? - Also, the first word 'The' is redundant & NOT necessary.

Syntax seems typical of headlines... brevity that makes you enquire (sometimes deliberately for comedic effect (not here though)).

I read it as "The South African stock that billionaire Howard Marks is cutting."

Farzam Ehsani is the CEO and co-founder of VALR, South Africa’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume.
Do you guys just post from the toilet?

That said I prefer VALR. PM me for a referral if you want to sign up.

9th Paragraph ("Afirhost")

The most affordable 1Gbps product in 2025 is Cybersmart’s package, which is priced at R799 through Afirhost.

Why does an article like this (DSTV Article): https://mybroadband.co.za/news/broa...ional-sports-streaming-in-price-showdown.html not get a "Forum Discussion" but an article like this does (Normal Article)? https://mybroadband.co.za/news/secu...nce-warning-for-south-african-homeowners.html

Something, equally in the same category here of "price" comparing, has also got a forum discussion so It's got me a bit confused? https://mybroadband.co.za/news/busi...n-store-versus-delivery-pricing-surprise.html

Is there criteria to specify what can and cannot be discussed in the forums?

Not at all. Anything that is fair game under South African law can be discussed. Someone has already created a thread in Off Topic to rip into us. Feel free to pile on there.

Thanks, appreciate the response, I guess a bit of a follow-up then, why isn't it automatically linked from the start like the rest are?

Honestly, I wasn't up for the abuse and wanted to see if not creating the thread would spare us. It didn't. So feel free to go pile on in that thread.

(Technically: It's not automatic. Unlike Daily Investor and BusinessTech, we have to manually create the forum threads for MyBroadband articles because the plugins to automatically create the threads and attach them to the article have broken badly in the past. For clarity: It's that last step, automatically attaching it to the article that Daily Investor and BusinessTech don't do that usually causes the problem.)

Appreciate the honesty, I looked at it differently, hence why I came here to question, but you painted a good picture, thank you.

It personally came across for me as if we're now trying to mask these types of articles and the discussions about them, but I understand, and I was just curious to this new "tactic" which obviously it isnt as you have painted :)

Only a pleasure.

No, that article is pure editorial and I stand 100% behind my journalist's conclusion. SuperSport's value is unmatched. Globally. Someone who is just into one sport will disagree, but any international fight sports fans who have had to pay $100 for a single ticket to watch a bout on pay-per-view will understand.

People are welcome to hate MultiChoice for the sake of it and we are free to write about the areas where it excels in addition to where it falls short :)

Mybroadband quickly published the correction to this based on response from SABC so the original article needs to include a correction at the end.

There were unfounded allegations in this article which SABC corrected a day later.

Taxes that could replace the SABC TV licence

The South African Broadcasting Corporation's (SABC's) TV licence scheme is failing. The proportion of people avoiding payment has risen sharply in recent years, contributing to the SABC's dismal financial situation.

Various alternatives, including household taxes and levies on local and international streaming services, are being considered to rescue the SABC.
