Article: No exclusively Afrikaans universities allowed

No the univesity will be superior.
In what way? The quality of any university is not determined by the language policy, but by other factors such as academic staff, research output ect.

Lol, but of course the Afrikaans language is superior. We all know this.

There is no other reason for government to hunt down and attempt to kill the language if it was not superior.

In 100 years from now, when SA will be in the ashes, Afrikaans will still be the superior language.

Edit: and, oh yes, do not confuse superior with oppressive if that is the route you are heading down.
Don't take yourself to seriously.

And the lack of BEE quotas.

The fact it won't have to drop entrance standards for BEE will already make it better.

Yes you are quite right the other factors such as academic staff, research output ect. will make it superior.

What about BEE? UCT abides by those quotas and its ranking has not since suffered as a result. That is just one example. BEE doesn't inherently mean poor standards. That is a fallacy.

Your last statement makes no sense. What's have entrance requirements got to do with a language?

BEE doesn't inherently mean poor standards. That is a fallacy.

But it does. It's no fallacy at all.

Look at each and every single organization where BEE is implemented and followed down to the 'T'. I am not talking about banks who appoints a BEE candidate in a high position and give him 10 newspapers to read each day to make the day shorter, but rather at companies appointing these individuals into core positions - they all fail.

Eskom is one of them. Just by the way.

Perhaps you should cite examples. Also you should not confuse corruption and ANC cadre deployment with BEE.

I have studied at an exclusively Afrikaans university and got a decent quality education, besides the lectures being mostly in Afrikaans. Oh, and I also think black people are just too sensitive over every little thing that clashes with their belief system. Do you honestly think only your opinions matter?

All of a sudden language has become synonymous with racism? That's not racist at all...

There are just too many examples.

Problem is, cadre deployment and subsequent corruption is a direct result of BEE. If BEE was not implemented, cadres could not have been deployed and corruption limited. So, it seems you are only confusing yourself here.

What makes a language superior?

So a SACP politician is now all black people? lol ok then.

He probably went to an Afrikaans university. It shows from his poor English comprehension skills

:p

Don't we have muslim exclusive schools and learning institutes?

We even have that funny banking thing... Just for some or other religion.

What now? Afrikaans has f-all to do with race.

He's saying it shouldn't be exclusively Afrikaans, not no Afrikaans should be offered.

As I said, there are already exclusively Afrikaans private institutions as for Universities, Potch is pretty much exclusively Afrikaans.

We do, but Afrikaans is not a religion.
