Article: Our lecturers are racist: students

Students at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) on Wednesday claimed that some lecturers were racist, and demanded their dismissal.

"We can't sit back and watch the future of black students going down the drain because of arrogant vice-chancellors and some incompetent managers," the university's student representative council (SRC) president Mboniseni Dladla said in a statement.
 
Tell you what.... TUT students are not doing themselves any favors with their yearly riots. Feel sorry for those just trying to get an education who are wasting their time and money. Personally I wouldn't even remotely consider employing a TUT student

The scary part is this type of thing happens in medical school all the time and they end up passing them.

There are some serious exams you have to do to become a medical officer that you wont pass here in SA unless you know what you are doing. So not sure where they are getting passed onto, but theyre not ending up as interns in our hospitals and clinics.

I couldn't tell you the specifics, my mother used to work at the medical school so this happened a few years ago, i will speak to her and find out more.

Nope, actually. Remember these are people entering university with comprehension and reading levels around the grade 5-7 mark. So no. There's no hope for them.

The **** dude?! People have a right to equal opportunity. People if all colour have a right to pass university regardless of [-]whether they study or not[/-] skin colour. You and these Western lecturers should either fit in with the African way or go back to your masters in Europe.

EDIT: And now that I've read the article I'm still not sure why they are being called racists.
