Article: Pik Botha in hospital: Report

Apartheid-era foreign affairs minister Pik Botha has been admitted to hospital, according to a report on Wednesday. His wife, Ina, told Beeld newspaper that he had heart problems and was in Akasia clinic in Pretoria North.
 
I should read up more about him. Seems like he had a shyty job... with nobody liking us and all :D :D
 
Apparently ol Pik was a verligte and tried to get the old government to change from within. Wish him speedy recovery...

Too long ago for my blood. I vaguely remember the names but I thought they'd all be dead by now. Was about 10 when Mandela was released and the nats walked out of parliment during de Klerks speech, thats pretty much all I can remember of back then.

I was also 10 in 1990 as well but I think South African history interests me more than most, and I didn't even do history at school :D
