Not everyone else. I require further proof, audited by reputable companies, not some GVT institution. Clearly that's wrong of me......:eek:

Like every country in the world is as corrupt as ours?
Why manipulate AIDS stats? Why manipulate crime stats?

Now all of a sudden I love my government, completely goes over marine1's head I'm actually really vocal and critical about their ineptitude or that I'm actually LIVING in South Africa.
 
There is NO way they could have counted all the illegals, impossible. Whether you like it or not, no one knows how many Africans are here illegally. When did I say you are NOT living in SA? :confused: Fourways is not in Korea ;)
 
There is NO WAY that ANY country can count every person in the country, but they do come accurately. Unlike your 60-70 million people thumbsuck.

The census only happens later this year ;). This is stats provided by stats SA - the question remains did they include illegal immigrants ??

1996 Stats SA: 43 million
1996 Census: 48 million
2001 Stats SA: 47 million
2001 Census: 52 million

"Oh hi, we are Stats SA, oh wait, you are an illegal immigrant? I'm not going to count you now, even though a census is a tally of every person living in the country, that job is for the "proper Census". Or better yet "Hi, can I see your passport, this is Stats SA, like every census, we make sure you are South African before we count you"

It is wrong - they have no idea how many people live in my house. Likewise they have no idea how many illegal immigrants (who is on no payroll/database whatsoever)there are in the country(only estimates/thumbsuck numbers).
 
I doubt the population is 60+million due to the aids + crime factor. I always find it funny how when i speak to immigrants + illegals i come across in SA, they describe as you would hear from people in middle america illegally crossing into the US.

Anyways curious what the census will pick up.

First of all Marine...these are still estimates. The actual census is only scheduled for later this year.
Here is a thing, there is data at home affairs relating to births, deaths , immigration, emigration, etc. What the census does is to verify that data by counting the actual heads, households. The census will verify where people live, work, their levels of income and all sorts of demographic information that only a census can collect. This is done every decade or so which does not mean that they don't have estimated figures in between censuses. You will get counted one way or the others - others even get counted twice. I know might have been counted twice and the counters arrived at my university residence as well as my home. So the population numbers are more likely to be overstated rather than understated.

Could you explain to me how you know they are accurate? How exactly do they count the population? I have not seen anyone at my door, For we know there could 100 million people in SA.

Here let me do a quick calc.

69.8 million
 
Yes killa, because the Census does exactly as you do, thumbsuck numbers, not as what someone indicated a page before or the poster who posted above you.
