Article: R940,000 car purchase by MEC explained

Left-over funds were used to buy a R940,000 vehicle for North West health MEC Magome Masike, his department said on Friday.

Spokesman Tebogo Lekgethwane rejected as misleading a report in the Mail&Guardian that the car was purchased with money meant for ambulances.

There is no such thing as leftover funds. They could have bought more ambulances or made some other sensible use of the money instead of buying this twit an expensive car.

There is a thing called left over funds. Funds left from the budget that must be spent before financial year end

lol what. If there is money left over in our budget we apply it to the next fiscal year.

This is why I have no respect for *******.

I remember the national minister of Finance under the old regime, Barend Matthee. He drove a BMW 535i in the early nineties, that he bought with his own salary car subsidy.

Nowadays cabinet ministers waste money OPENLY.

But everybody turns a blind eye these days because they are trying to rectify the old apartheid situation.
