You dont get poisonous ones, only venomous ones hehe, normal confusion. Non-venemous snakes are also good for this. They will chow rats and keep away intruders. I used to have street people going through my rubbish in the early mornings on pick up day. They often made a horrible mess opening the packets and leaving rubbish around. Since I started throwing my snakes shed skins away, this has stopped.

Australia was releasing carpet pythons all over the place to kill their rodent infestations.

Perhaps a similar route would work if the population is educated first.
