It has to do with apartheid. Look apartheid was bad for blacks, sure, but the NP did not rape or destroy white society, for sure.
White society thrived.

Yes, I already said with that sentence that apartheid was immoral.
Nats and whites got on very well. Whites voted for Nats and Nats ruled in whites favour.
You seem to be twisting and turning out of your statements so let me put it to you this way:
Not only were the Nats authors and supporters of the evil and immoral system of apartheid, they also raped and destroyed society!

As for authorship, sure, but it was based on prevailing racism of the Western world. Did the English before that integrate and intermarry with Blacks, Indians and Chinese in their colonies?

Redeemed, if you think I'm twisting and turning you are mistaken and using an uncharitable reading.
The NP gets too much blame for what where policies which benefited the vast majority of whites. There definitely wasn't this level of anger that we see at the ANC (and rightfully so) now from whites, that we saw against NP before (from whites). The people I knew under apartheid were all English speakers, and no-one was angry at the Nats.
I never said they destroyd "white society" but that they destroyed "society", can't you read? Are you saying blacks (the overwhelming majority) do not qualify to be labelled as "society"?
And I agree with you that the system cannot be solely blamed on the Nats, it was a system enjoyed and supported by the vast majority of white South Africans. The Nats were just the face, that is why it thrived for so long.

I think you're misunderstanding each other here. What I think he's saying is this:
The nats, when in power -as evil as they were - still looked after "their own."
The anc does not care about anyone and have no problem, literally, stealing food from the mouths of starving children/people, regardless of race. They don't even lookout for the black folks -unless their last name is held by at least 5 others in the party.
I may be mistaken but this is what I get from what Space_Chief is saying.

The post I made was in reply to another post. ANC is building up black society but arguably destroying white one. In contrast the NP did the opposite. BTW I don't need to justify anything. The system of apartheid was immoral because of various reasons, one was that blacks did not get a chance to uplift themselves, another was because of the pass laws and social effects, freedoms, etc. That's all covered by the immorality rubric.
In addition you could argue that the NP investment in infrastructure, is now being used to the benefits of all, especially the blacks who see the most improvement out of its utilisation. State hospitals, almost all built under apartheid, are mostly used by blacks. Power stations are being used mostly by the rising black populations. NP actions of the past, benefit current blacks, whose forefathers' struggles did not go in vain. Now in terms of what the ANC is doing, well it's not doing much. When the gold crashes one day, we'll be really screwed because we're barely scraping by.
My advice is to be charitable in your reading in the future.

Your point does not stand. Societies were not mixed under apartheid.
The white society was built up, while the black was depressed.
Saying that the whole society was destroyed is painting yourself into a honorary apartheid sufferer.

Yes. My point about the infrastructure the Nats built goes here. Now the ANC has done some black upliftment but they could have done significantly more without depressing white society (as much).
That they looked after a small minority of the population doesn't invalidate the fact that they destroyed society (no matter how much you defend them). Society as a whole cannot be sustainable when only a small section is taken care of.
And the white population is not being depressed, in fact under the ANC government its prosperity has increased.

If this is true, which i hope it is not, the guilty need to get life imprisonment. A clear message needs to be sent that terrorism will not be tolerated in any form. Charging them with high treason is simply not enough.
If disgruntled people are hell bent in killing political opposition their needs would be better served by using a sniper rifle & cherry pick their victims. But a bomb kills & maims at random - the favoured tool of the coward.
