Article: Right wing plot to kill SA leaders

I've heard on two different radio stations that 3 of them were members of the FVP.( Federale Vryheids Party) but no links as yet.

Not that this was in any way right at all but in the 20 odd years since "democracy" in SA, I've yet to hear an ANC fanboy ONCE acknowledge that their bombing of innocents and acts of terrorism were wrong. Now, however, they worm their way out of the woodwork to have their 2c about some apparent failed attempt against their bloated, beloved leaders.

What was that about freedom fighters again?

Apples & oranges really.

Mangaung bomb plot - 7 held

The fanboys you speak likely don't think it was wrong of the ANC to bomb 'innocent' civilians. The ANC was a guerilla movement fighting a government and all it represented. You didn't expect them to go to a field of battle against a properly funded and armed army did you? The MK was not an army like the apartheid army was, their mission was to put pressure on a government

It is expected that the seven *suspects will appear on a charge of high treason in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court soon.

High Treason?

How can you commit treason against a political party?

Or has the ANC now become the State in the eyes of the law?

Mr Billy the cop says that there is no link to Mangaung. These suspects were active across the country and the police found 'irregularities' at their homes during police raids. Two of them were members of the FVP, one of the many extremly irrelevant AWB splintergroups or something. :P

Re: Mangaung bomb plot - 7 held

Really? How so?
I do not support these animals and what they were planning to do but I also do not support the ANC and their racist policies / blatant rape of the country.
Uts actually no different to what the ANC were doing in the past.

Seriously? You're letting your emotions cloud the facts here.

probably that same crowd of dangerous right wingers that they arrested on the East Rand in 2010 with a rusted old Boer War rifle.

Lol, my people?
Bwahahahaha, you are a racist, plain and simple.

Yes, my aim is to be the most racist person in this country.

if ever the "pot called the kettle black" this was the day !

I recall you defending anything & everything the anc, ancyl & malema (your people right) did !

And you always defend anything and everything DA, Zille, etc. Just because I express an opinion which is different to yours but coincidentally agrees with the ANC's doesn't mean I'm a diehard ANC supporter. You won't hear me criticizing the ANC a lot here on mybb because there's already an oversupply of "cANCer" criticizers here. You just wait for a newspaper article that exposes the ANC's short coming and then boom, they are on a firing squad. But you will find me criticizing the DA and Zille a lot since no one dares question her and her party on mybb.

My feeling is that the police found out that those right-wingers did want to disrupt the ANC conference. A statement was issued but later the police issued another statement saying there's no link between the right-wingers and the conference. Because they don't want to create a bigger racial tension in this country. You sound like you are sympathizing with those right-wingers and dare say the Boeremag gang? You also sound like you favor Apartheid, and the ANC must apologize for trying to free ALL South Africans from the shackles of Apartheid. So let's let the ANC apologize for bombing various sites during apartheid and during their banning. Let's also let all those oppressors pay for their crimes. Let's also let the money accumulated during apartheid (which is now mostly pension money) be given to all apartheid victims and their families. Let's also let all oppressors pay apartheid reparations for the suffering they have caused to millions of South Africans, the same way Germany paid World War 1 reparations until 2010 to the tune of 22 Billion pounds. You want to start a domino effect? No one will win!

Johannesburg - The four people arrested for suspected acts of terrorism were not linked to the ANC's 53rd elective conference in Mangaung, Free State police said on Monday.

"No, at this stage we are not linking any of the arrests with the conference at all," spokesperson Brigadier Billy Jones said.

Bloemfontein - More arrests were expected after four rightwing extremists were held for suspected terrorism charges, police said on Monday.

Free State police spokesperson Brigadier Billy Jones said his team was investigating further.

"Yes, we are expecting to make more arrests but we cannot reveal further details at the moment," he said.

The four were arrested on Sunday.

"The suspects are aged between 40 and 50 years old," said Jones.

and ...

South African police have foiled a plot by suspected right-wing Afrikaner extremists to bomb a marquee at an ANC conference attended by President Jacob Zuma and dozens of top government officials.

A police statement released on Monday said four men aged between 40 and 50 were arrested on Sunday.

The statement gave few other details, but national police spokesman Phuti Setati said they had been planning to plant a bomb in one of the tents at the ANC conference being held in the central city of Bloemfontein.

Who is lying here?

Shopping malls represented the government? And yes I would expect them to target the regime not innocent people who had nothing to with the nats
