To prevent the blood, our demands must be met.
You're taking it out of context:erm:
ANCYL president Julius Malema told supporters that Sibiya was the face of white capital.
"He is our brother but he himself doesn't have a mine." he said,
"Sign now, peacefully. There is no blood on the floor. To prevent the blood, our demands must be met."
"Take your time and walk. we have the whole day and night. You must not run," said Malema.
"If you have a bottle of water, you must share it with your fellow people. We [the leadership] are coming to march with you because we are all from poor backgrounds."
Equality is too high
Yeah words fail me. If everyone is too equal then wtf are they on about? Is it now? Shucks, maybe we should cancel all of this BEE crap then?
I just had a thought. Hypothetically, take Malema ... change nothing (attitude, behaviour, speech, words, wrist-watch) ... but make him a white person.
How different would things be?
How different would people's reactions to him be?
How much impact would he have?
The memorandum calls for better wages for mine workers and the active involvement of mining companies in the development of the industry.

FWIW, the sound-bite I heard on the radio was somewhat different and much less militant. Something along the lines of "...our demands must be considered/discussed" or something like that. Maybe the quote above was uttered verbatim at another time though...To prevent the blood, our demands must be met.
