Article: Sign now: Malema

Chamber of Mines CEO Bheki Sibiya accepted a memorandum of grievances from marching ANC Youth League members on Thursday afternoon. ANCYL deputy president Ranold Lamola read out the grievances contained in the memorandum before handing it over to Sibiya.

What I would like (even though I know it will never happen), is for the JSE to tell Malema to get stuffed....

Someone needs to stand up and tell this little bugger off in my opinion.

What a bunch of juicy qotes in there.

ANCYL president Julius Malema told supporters that Sibiya was the face of white capital.

"He is our brother but he himself doesn't have a mine." he said,

"Sign now, peacefully. There is no blood on the floor. To prevent the blood, our demands must be met."

Hmm, that is an open threat. And as usual, we play the race card.

"Take your time and walk. we have the whole day and night. You must not run," said Malema.

"If you have a bottle of water, you must share it with your fellow people. We [the leadership] are coming to march with you because we are all from poor backgrounds."

He lies through his teeth without even blushing...

The memorandum calls for better wages for mine workers and the active involvement of mining companies in the development of the industry.

So once nationalised, who exactly will they be asking to do this?? Perhaps the plan is flawed!

I just had a thought. Hypothetically, take Malema ... change nothing (attitude, behaviour, speech, words, wrist-watch) ... but make him a white person.

How different would things be?
How different would people's reactions to him be?
How much impact would he have?

Thats an easy question to answer.

the blacks wouldn't follow him and he would be called a capitalist pig in his 16 million rand mansion wearing expensive watches and white people would just think he is a dumb @rse(so that part wouldn't change)

errmm... now why would mining companies not be actively involved in the development of their own industry?

seriously , I think this bunch just puts together a bunch of words they think sounds intelligent, without putting any thought into the actual meaning behind those words

HE would probably be classified as an retard and put in some mental institution.

If he had to rant about white imperialism all the time, he would not have credibility. If he were to preach economic freedom and have a BReitling watch and a R16mil mansion, he would not have credibility. If he were slagging the blacks instead, he would be decried as a racist pig, and even among whites have only a few followers.

So far no difference to Julius, except that Julius has got a huge following and noone dares calling him out for what he is: an uneducated hypocrite and a racist pig.

No, I meant that he would continue to be President of the ANCYL and fight for the rights of the poor and of disadvantaged black people! But he would be a white person instead of a black.

To prevent the blood, our demands must be met.
FWIW, the sound-bite I heard on the radio was somewhat different and much less militant. Something along the lines of "...our demands must be considered/discussed" or something like that. Maybe the quote above was uttered verbatim at another time though...

It was awesome how not even 2km into the march, Malema hopped into a car and sped away...

Stupid racist *******!
