It worries me to know that so many South Africans support corruption, crime and the stealing from the poor to pay the elite.

Free and Fair elections in Africa are a myth because even this was corrupt IMO.

Helen seemed happy with the outcome of the investigation. Do i believe that the results are 100% accurate no, but i think its probably a fair representation of what is on the ground. A still largely noneducational group of people who have a burning bond to vote ANC(in my person opinion due to fear and loyalty). This election does show that things are changing. The Nelson Mandela Bay, Gauteng etc show that the ANC is slowly loosing that blind faith. Hopefully once the DA is given a chance in these other areas(Hopefully in the next municipal election) they prove their worth and show that they want the best for each and every south african. Results are the only way to change the blind faith.

Yes. Last year's election was the same if not higher at 74-75%
Don't underestimate the power of a vacation day and long qeues. Even the small area where I voted I saw around 70% showing.

Over and above that, there are 31 million eligible voters in SA. So 6 million didn't even bother to register.
