Article: Stop talking SA down: Zuma

I'm emigrating to South Africa from Scotland in about a month and have been able to see through all the negativity that people keep telling me. Looking forward to life in South Africa and all the positives that the country has to offer.

So you wait 300 years for independence then you decide to f off a year before you get it?

Whit kinda offa Mac'cer r u?

I see Zuma's been smoking the nyaupe again. Calling for rotten cops to be rooted out. Isn't he the one that installed Cele?

We're not taking SA down. We're realists, and tend to condemn all sorts of graft, corruption, nepotism, cronyism and the such.

Until the Govt improves (really root out corruption etc) we will highlight said shortfalls.

Zuma - The truth hurts, yes some people don't lie. You may find this strange but that's the way it is. Once you and your cadres stop stealing from ALL South Africans and the corruption and manage the country as you are tasked to do you will see the people will continue to tell the truth and that that is spoken will be positive.

Your move.............................

Don't close doors and burn bridges. I feel confident that when you see the real South Africa you will realise that the people you've been speaking to are realists. I hope I'm wrong, but as someone who came back to SA in 2004 after 5 years in the UK, I have some regrets about my decision.

Well, I moved from SA to the UK in 2000. Five years later, I came back to SA and have not regretted it since. You cannot pay me enough to go back to that small island! :D

Yah I wouldn't easily choose to go back to UK... but I'm not overly happy here either.
The news that my Joburg bills are going up by 11% and more in June doesn't help either. Double-inflation increase, for declining service delivery.

****it.

Europeans move to Africa to come and live in a country that has corruption failing infrastructure. They Do not move here to find a little Europe. What will you write home about? Oh I'm having this great african experience and it's just like being home the Zoo's are just a bit bigger.

We that live here see things going backwards. We pay our taxes we will point out where the government fails.

Speak for yourself. In spite of the massive corruption, SA is still moving forward.

We here have people immigrating from Australasia, Europe, Asia, the Americas, etc, all trying to make this country a better place. You either are on mission to improve this world, or apathetic and part of the problem.

What is moving forward?
We are all working to keep the machine moving, it is not going anywhere very soon.

Sorry for offending you. Please list me the things that are moving forward.

Doesn't look like forward to me...?

Zuma needs to acknowledge that this mind set is caused by bad things. And instead of the "look on the bright side of it all" speech, he should be proactively creating a south africa where most do see good - rather than forced to twist the bad into a prettier picture.

Zuma is a useless president, next 4 years are going to be tough.

I hope sa and it's citizens can survive another 4 years of zumatello thievery and corruption.

I agree.

Looking at the last 18 years, the list of things to brag about isn't exactly turning out to look like an essay?!
Feels like we're still busy looking for pen and a piece of paper :P

Hahaha, I can't believe that people actually merit what Zuma says. So funny how people are so easily moved.

Every month there are facts coming out how terribly run the country is.
How the ANC starts strikes and ruins the lives of farm workers. How the politicians are extremely rich royal figures part of a monarchy.
How the politicians come out saying non BEE companies must be punished and fined.
How based on the colour of your skin you are limited to opportunities.
How all services are falling apart and failing, when these services were reviewed timeously around twenty years ago, and were never improved.
How the country can not even run an airline, telephone monopoly, television, public transport, police, electricity, hospitals etc. How all of this is run to the ground and just the rich politicians living in their world getting richer and richer.

Then, the blind people, that ignore all of this come out and say we are wrong to not be realists and raise awareness to our oppression.

So easily manipulated.
