Article: Tallest dog ever

A Great Dane who towers 2.2 metres (7 feet 4 inches) on his hind legs is named the tallest dog ever recorded in the latest Guinness Book of World Records launched on Thursday.

The giant canine from Michigan in the United States eats an entire 14-kilogram (30-pound) bag of food every day and weighs in at 70.3 kilograms, the 57th edition of the global records book says.
 
You'll need one of these to clean up after him in the park.

:D My mom had 3 danes, we used to go buy a whole pick and pay tolley full of dog food. The people used to ask us if we ran a kennel :D :D

:D You can feed them as much as you like they have the metabolism of a race horse. The females get a bit chunkier when they are very old but mostly they look like they are starving :p
 
Iv'e got two, not pure breads though, and mine weigh alot more than that but I think they have some Boerbul in them because they are pure muscle. The Female weighs 84kg and the male is stockier and hates the vet hence we haven't weighed him recently.

Great Danes are wonderful animals and they tend to look down on most when standing on their hind legs.

But yes one cr@p and the bull dozer needs to be warmed up. But also one bark and it's enough to scare anyone off.

I don't know - the last one I had before I came to SA was solid - definitely didn't look this skinny.
 
My parents Dane was 75kg's but was shorter than him by a fair bit.
They are amazing dogs but I would never want one because they dont live very long and they often develop cancer quite often from their legs that grow so fast.

Ours ate us out of the house, but looked anorexic. Doc Said nothing wrong GDanes look like that.
 
She / He looks healthy.

Problem is, people often don't know what healthy looks like.

If you see ribs it's actually a good sign, especially on Danes.

You want to keep their weight down as much as possible so they can live longer, happier lives.
