Article: Tender system must be banned: YCL

Wahahahaha.... too much of funny.

If Tenders must be banned, then suggest a system to put in its place or shut the hell up..

And as for land redistribution, the slow pace it has been happening is SOLELY the governments fault, nobody elses.

Of course, it's an inconvenience. Give it directly to cadres. It saves a lot of paperwork, so we can save trees.

It's not the tender system that's wrong and needs replacement, it's the corrupt people driving the tenders-for-buddies system that must be banned.

The CYL seem just as dumb as the ANCYL.

"Our struggle must be to liberate blacks and Africans from economic and political bondage through the building of a non-racist,..."

The reason why they were in bondage in the first place may not be because the glass was half-full but maybe because the glass was half-empty.

I wonder, what do other countries do when a certain department requires services from the private sector? Don't other countries have a similar tendering system?

Yes as far as I'm aware. The idea of a tender is that it is a public and open process, supposedly to PREVENT corruption. But if the parties don't follow the process correctly and no-one raises any red flags then nothing will be done.

Like now. If the YCL want to truly stop corruption then hold those who are in positions of power respomsible.

I just looked at the pic and shuddered, that must be the total sum of our leadership's intellect showing right there.

Yes they do. It's meant to ensure due diligence and proper spending of tax money.

This is were civil society should come in. If government officials think they can get away with murder then they will continue murdering. Civil society must raise their voices if there are symptoms of corruption.

Government and municipalities' misuse of tax payer money is no different to other big global financial institutions such as Lehman Brothers that recklessly used people's money on risky products such as the sub-prime products which led to the 2008 economic crises. People will always try to abuse their power if they know they will get away with it.

Yip, the same civil society who goes and votes for these same imbeciles again.

Actually the supply of glasses was through a tender process. The wrong size was provided at huge cost.
