Article: Thabo Mbeki cried before announcing his resignation: WikiLeaks

A secret US document released on Wikileaks details how former president Thabo Mbeki cried before announcing his resignation, The Times reported on Monday. The document, dated Sept 5, 2008, detailed a meeting between deputy director-general of policy co-ordination to the presidency Vusi Gumede, analysts Thabileng Mothabi and Queeneth Mlaba and US officials.

And that is the Scandal they had on Thabo? JZ is in for a rough ride.

Makes sense, even during his speech you could see that he was shaken, and he should have been. It was such a sad way for his presidency to end.

I would cry too if my ego was the cause of the deaths of 300 000 people.

Mbeki was never in the country. He was a very slack leader.

The sniveling couldn’t have happened to a better person. As bad as Zuma is, the SA slide to squalor and poverty started with him. He put into place all the crappiness. Zuma just continued his ‘good’ work.

so colonial domination and apartheid definitely has nothing to do with the endemic poverty and obscene inequality we are facing in this country? or is it all to blame on the anc?

When are you guys going to give up on this ridiculous mission of blaming Apartheid?!

The ANC has had close to 18 years to sort things out their way, and all they have done cock it up even more!

A drop in the ocean compared to what is happening now.

Don't bother to answer Alan, because if I say something is black, you'll automatically say it's white.
