Article: Theft at Oscar Pistorius trial

Journalists covering Oscar Pistorius's murder trial were warned on Friday morning to look after their belongings and not climb over the benches in the High Court in Pretoria.

On Thursday a laptop was stolen from an international news crew from a bench outside court room GD. A local radio reporter had her iPad stolen from inside the court room during the lunch break.
 
I'm missing the funny side of this. You guys hate the media or something?
 
The court is full of policeman and foreign journos. With thousands of Rands worth of equipment getting stolen from right under their noses. Where was the court orderly? This is very embarrassing for South Africa :(

I drive past there every morning, the problem is not so much the petty theft, rather the bloody taxies in Vermeulen and Steve Biko (formally Voortrekker) street.
