Article: Trevor Noah tweet causes outcry

So people dug through his tweet history as far back as 2009 to find something to be offended about?

F*&@ing SJWs! They really are bullies.

Someone commented that young people today won't ever be able to run for president as all their old Facebook and Twitter posts are going to be scrutinised. Seems to be happening already...

Nah, Comedy Central would have known about these, probably half the reason they hired him. I wouldn't put it past them for being the ones to make the noise regarding the tweets, nothing like a bit of controversy to push a new host and generate interest.

Very good point, it means more people are talking about him, certainly raises the interest level.

Yeah if anything these idiots are making people want to watch him now.

Piers Morgan's show was cancelled, agree about the others though.

After how many years? I'd definitely label him as successful in the US.

EDIT: After more than 3 years - not exactly a failure, nor a success, maybe somewhere in the middle. And his show was cancelled because he discussed matters close to American's hearts, and he was basically "taking them on" about these issues. Not very wise.

I seriously doubt Trevor will do this.

I personally haven't got time for him and I give him max 3mths in the job.

Im not sure which is more ridiculous. The reaction to his tweets, or the reaction to the reaction to his tweets.

I never liked his comedy. I doubt that he will last in the states.

His ebola joke was not even remotely funny. The best job he ever had in his entire career was when he was with Cell C. Their customer service was a joke and since he was the spokesman it was pure irony at its best. Laughed everytime they aired an add.

Luckily your opinions don't count for everybody. He'll be fine.

Added to the fact that the Daily show has a team of writers behind him, as much as Jon Stewart may have contributed the - quality of the segments did not drop when he went on sabbatical for 6 months.

I once had to call Kulula's customer care to change a flight I had booked. Family emergency.
It was 5 in the afternoon, I had to urgently fly down to Cape Town.
I spent 45 minutes on hold listening to him. His idea of a funny joke for their hold line was - playing that preppy music and then every few minutes saying 'Customer care. How may I help you? ..... Just kidding, Trevor here. You are still on hold.'

I hate Trevor Noah. If I ever meet him I'd punch him in the face.

It's the same as Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight show.
People were up in arms over it.
He came from SNL and had his own fair share of risque moments.
yet look how successful he has become in a short time.
