So you are upset with him for using a "derogatory" term, but you go use one in return and think you are the better person? :confused:

Think you are confused.. It was in reference to his "Puke" Speech
I'm not upset @ all and words like Dutchmen are Water off a Duck's back, but he made his bed back in 2008 so now he must lay in it.
No one is forcing him to be Proudly South African or need's him to play for the Springboks and if that's his attitude towards Dutchmen then he can make Friends with Englishmen or any other men he wishes.

Luke is a great rugby player. Its time we get over this. Just like we got over Gio Cronje refusing to share a room with his Springbok lock partner Quinton Davids because he was coloured. Or like we gt over Toks van der Linda told a springbok fan living a Australia to ***** of you a k*ff*r girl . Hell Toks even got to sing the national anthem at a rugby game. Or Andre Markgraaf referring to Mluleki George as a k*ff*r.

My point I'm trying to make is that people in rugby makes stupid mistakes, but why is it easier for the rugby public to forgive some, but not others? Is it because Luke offended the Afrikaner community? If so, it does no favours in fighting his statement of 3 years ago that the game is run by "dutchmen"
 
In my days of school rugby most of it really was run by the "afrikaaners". Take schoolboy Lions selection as an example: If you were an Englishman or "soutie" you had to show amazing skill to be noticed. If you were an "afrikaaner" it was somewhat easier.

... nah pretty much an average provincial level loose forward. I have no doubt though that his little "indiscretion" will be milked for all it's worth when he doesn't get selected for anything more than the Spears team
 
I don't really get the hype over his dutchman comment anyway. Nobody I know feels offended by the term.

Kaaskop, soutpiel, kraut, eyetie, bubble n squeak, charo , porra , bushy ... I dunno? ... terms of endearment if you ask me ? ;)

Puke Watson at it again? Is there a selection process under way for the national team that he is gunning for?

IIRC last time he went on a tangent of puking over a springbok jersey it was the whole team that ousted him, not just the selectors. Why not just leave SA rugby alone, go do what you gotta do somewhere else. He has shown time and again he has no regard for the players, selectors and fans, so go somewhere else then where you feel at home.

You are either kidding or you have the brain of a bird ...which one??? If you cannot determine that the K word was amongst the most derogatory terms in the world then there is no help for you and people like you.

The only people who can say whether any word - including 'dutchman' - is derogatory are the people against whom it is directed and the reason for using it. I cannot think of one 'nice way' in which the K word was applied.
By the same token, 'dutchman' when used to indicate 'intellect' of the victim (the way it was used many times) is offensive.

If more people had stood up like Cheeky did during apartheid, you would not have half the issues you are facing today.

It pisses me off as a person that was denied sporting and other equality, when ex cricketers etc complain that "we were not responsible for apartheid"...yes, if you participated in segregated sport and "normal sport in an abnormal society" used to window dress to the world, then you supported what the govt did.
It is laughable that those cricketers want to actually be acknowledged for their contribution and that they lament losing out of international participation 'because of the govt'.

Even 'heroes' like Bruce Fordyce would say "I ran Comrades with a black armband in 1981"...hey Bruce, how about you didn't actually run it at all and developed non racial sport. And how about you didn't bust sanctions with your British/Hong Kong heritage?

Besides the fact that over 80% actually voted for the govt or worse, anyone that supported their sporting ideals were actively contributing to it.
