IMO, she is at the very least guilty of a shocking level of insensitivity in the way she addresses certain issues and as JungleBoy pointed out, the socio-economic challanges ARE race linked at the end of the day. That's the reality of it all...

Dude, I don't see many rich African countries and as far as I'm aware, and I may very well be wrong as I'm hardly an expert on politics, but I don't know of any of those that are run by people that aren't black.

Colonialism: British, French, Belgians . . . . = technology, civilization, rule of law and medicine in far flung remote places

Don't know if you have traveled to first world countries but most of them often have their 'racist themed' items in their papers, Australia, UK and USA being just a few that have made international headlines with such events and the obvious fallout thereafter. Its a worldwide problem, I guess ours is just compounded by the past and the present divide.

Hey the truth hurts. Explain why most African countries are so impoverished and not the rest of the non white world, Explain why so many African countries can't even fend for themselves and rely on food relief and aid from the rest of the world.

Even in the apartheid days conditions were BETTER for the South African blacks than in many impoverished african nations where people die daily of starvation and disease.

Slavery was wrong of course and it has been abolished(mostly) now, and rightly so.We have evolved past that point now.

Oh and of course the classic "Imperial Colonist" raping the resource rich continent excuse holds no water either, if it wasn't for the colonists most of Africa would still be running around in loin cloths hunting with spears, hell I doubt the wheel would have been invented yet.There would be no education, civilisation or government for the current, copiously corrupt African leaders to profit from.

Before you start screaming "Racist!" think about this, why do the Indians and the Chinese have a booming economy and culture that is way ahead of any African state, why is it that of the American population where 10-15% are black, the prison population is over 50% black(How do you explain that).Why is it always the blacks that were enslaved and discriminated against more than any other race on the planet.

Some cultures just advanced and evolved at a much much slower rate than others, Africa was ripe for the picking and an easy target back in the day where survival of the fittest mostly described the comparatively savage way of life.

I'm sure I will be labelled a racist for these simple facts, whatever.These are simple questions, which I would love an answer to.
