So the concepts of reform and forgiveness for past acts doesn't exist in your world? That acts done or supported decades ago will always condemn you no matter how much you change? That all the good work he did in South Africa and around the world is absolutely meaningless and counts for nothing? That the millions of young people who take him as a role model for how to emerge peacefully from a situation that appeared to only have a violent ending and change their own lives as a result count for nothing.

You are a sad, sad person if you truly believe that and I'm glad there are only a few of you around.

People can and do change and he spent the last years of his life making up for the possible sins of his early life.

he didn't purpose to change any life on this land to be"good" neither.

you may ask him did he really wanted white and black to live peacefully in South Africa, the honest answer is "NO".

He didn't want to free white people, you may see it why he created the commission of reconciliation. he can't revenge to white not because he forgave white, it was because he couldn't. the whole world was watching him and the anc. it was not the good timing. after 1998, what he did? he had no purpose to "fought against black domination", what he did before 2009 election? in your memory, did you ever remember he said "if anc is not working for the people, I will pull anc down!!!" or something similar?

You and your ilk who will moan online incessantly about how terrible things are in this country don't even see the irony of the fact that under this government you have the freedom to complain. Whether they listen is another matter, but at least being critical of the government won't land you in jail or get you labelled a traitor.

If you were a woman, at least in terms of the law, you are now actually a full human being who isn't subject to the whims of her husband. Something the old government certainly didn't allow.

And as a gay man, I now have the right to be treated fairly, to marry and to be free from homophobia in my everyday life.

If Mandela had been a man of hatred and anger, it would not have taken much for him to spark a violent revolution in this country. There were many people yearning for blood. But the man chose transition the country as peacefully as he could.
