Article: Zuma's ANC won the elections with ease

The African National Congress won the fifth democratic elections with a reduced majority, mustering 62.16 percent, according to preliminary results released on Friday.

The party received 11,436,654 votes, which was less than the 11,650,748 votes (65.9 percent) it received in 2009.

It seems clear that cANCer party voters don't possess the three seconds of memory that a goldfish has and they have been sufficiently brainwashed into believing that king Zumatello is in a daily death-match with that evil zombie/tokolosh called Apartheid.
 
I seriously thought with e-tolls we would see a big decline.. but nope. This means the masses support ANC's corruption, nepotism , service delivery issues etc. I think we'll be stuck with ANC forever...

How many parties were on the ballot? 20? It was a lot. Out of all of those you telling me they cannot vote for anyone else? We have only ever been ruled by ANC since 1994. If you ask me, all them are credible seeing that no one else have had a chance yet to govern this land of ours. The ANC is the only party on that list that have proven themselves unworthy in practice.

There WAS a huge decline in the Gauteng provincial... but not enough to take it below 50%.
 
I know quite a few people that voted for the ANC, with their thinking being, we are voting for the party not the man.

I just hope in the next municipal elections, people vote against those that are not doing what they supposed to do for the municipality, cause municipal elections is where the service delivery comes into play.

There were so many violent protest , e- tolls etc.. I thought change is now... people would vote them out of Gauteng.

But here we are.. stuck with ANC...
