RSAWEB has partnered with MyBroadband to provide insight into the Cloud.

Ask your questions about the Cloud in this thread, and Sean Rose, RSAWEB's Cloud Product Manager, will answer them.

By asking your questions you will not only get insight into the Cloud, but also stand a chance to win cool prizes.

For business use cases, Sean can also provide excellent insight into the 5 stages of successful Cloud Data Management: Backup, Visibility, Activation, Orchestration, and Automation.

Do you see any hesitation from businesses/corporations to move their services to the cloud from on-prem due to various security breaches that have happened, and how do you intend on reassuring your customers that their data is secure and safe from vulnerabilities?
 
Do you use virtual firewall's or physical firewall's to protect the cloud environment and why do you use the chosen one?
 
In this age of hacking & spying how does one "sell" the Cloud to the average Joe? How safe are they knowing that their content is protected & safeguarded?

Can a dept in a workplace share a cloud and a seperate dept have the same cloud but only access certain items in it, does that make sense?
 
With the ability to create virtual machines and servers in the cloud, is it possible for companies to migrate their enterprise infrastructure to a cloud based solution?
 
While end to end security is the most important aspect of cloud services and the focus of cloud vendors and companies that use cloud, even with recommended security solutions in place, it isn't fool proof.Do cloud vendors recommend what type of data in general should not be used in the cloud or do they recommend additional end to end encryption for highly sensitive data and apply custom solutions as per client requirements or a general approach of one size fits all. ?
 
What is the biggest barrier for entry to the Cloud for customers who still have the traditional on-premise model?
 
Are you able to provide an elastic Cloud solution that is able to scale according to user traffic?
 
Do you see cloud playing a bigger role in the life of home users, with the large uptake of fibre and uncapped services?

How do you foresee solving latency issues in time sensitive applications where info should be sent in real time to the cloud? If latency becomes larger than say 200ms, granularity is lost (in our application - this relates to using timestamping for trilateration).
 
There are many equivalency cloud services across the current cloud suppliers but as more and more specialized services become the norm as these suppliers attempts to distinguish themselves. How do I as customer avoid vendor lock-in without losing out on the latest advances in the cloud space?
