ASP.NET vs JSP/J2EE

Also, C++ is much more than just C with classes... It was just a very rough summarization, man. I know C++ is very complex. Pointers just about everywhere and memory leaks if you don't know what you're doing.

Fun fun fun... :D

YEp like now my server crashed because of a corrupt stack. :|

J2EE = steap learning curve, shortage, huge demand = inflated salaries. Nice challenge tho.

.Net = Gay

I can't keep up with J2EE stuff... Which frameworks are you guys using if i may ask? (Servlet Containers / MVC / Persistent Tools)

There's no way you'll like Java if you know C++ well, just impossible! ;)

It is quite possible. .NET and C# are just copy of Java.
While .NET 1.0 was quite nice further editions are disaster. They probably chased away Miller and smart guys and now C# looks like SQL.

All I can say is - WTF.

Dude..you dont know what you talking about, do you? Like they said: WTF!

Possible reference to LINQ?

It is not only that SQL addin, take a better look at introduction of elements from functional languages into one imperative language. I have nothing against functional languages but you do not mix those two. Their well known "let's bring accountants, bookkeepers and DB administrators into programing" idea from last century is again on the march.
