The SSD is slow yes if you use NTFS.
But if you load Tiny XP with fat32, disable a few services and make a few tweaks XP runs nice...

Got to rethink getting the A110 then.
I got my Acer Aspire one for R1800 new from incredible connection(was R1999 but got 10% off the display unit).
Upgraded the ram to 1.5GB cost me R200
Will Upgrade the HDD from 8GB SSD to 60GB 1.8" 4200rpm HDD cost me R270

Total(drum roll please) = R2270
1.6GHz ATOM 1.5GB ram 60GB HDD running windows 7 flawlessly plus its extremely mobile + build in webacam + wireless for Skype.
Me a very happy camper

Thats what I did with mine (8Gb). If you have a 2.5 portable HD it also help to run portable apps on it (Firefox / Thunderbird / Pidgin / etc...)... Especially apps that like to use the cache.

Mine is running pretty nice with XP, but I really need to upgrade the RAM, fat firefox and lazy thunderbird are eating most of the 512 Ram. And I really need someone to help me add the extra 1Gb (I will pay !)...

I plan to get a ZIF CF adapter and card instead of a HDD as some 1.8" ZIF HDD will not fit in the SSD Aspire One - did a lot of research on this. I prefer CF as it faster and stronger (resilient to bumps) than HDD - this is why its used in military applications.

But Vegeta you got a sweet deal on your setup - jelious beyond.
