Hi guys

For about 2 years when we first got our Asterisk setup everything worked perfectly. Hardly ever had problems. Calls outgoing and incoming always worked etc.

Then my boss got this idea from some friend of a friend to do an upgrade and change to Elastix. Since then we've only had problems. Lines dropping and at times not working at all, getting hacked TWICE as well. Before all this $hit happened I did not know anything of how the system worked.

In a way its good this happened cause right now I have to admit I've learned a hell of a lot and can do most of the setup work. The problem is troubleshooting.

I need someone reliable to have a look at it and fix what needs to be fixed and I would like it if it was by tomorrow or the day after. I am not interested in signing service contracts as in the next 2 -3 months our company will be going through some changes so getting ourselves locked into a contract is just not such a good idea at the moment.

So if anyone has any recommendations it would be much appreciated.

Ouch. Lesson one. Always install a new asterisk install onto a new disk, that way if its giving crap you can just swap the disk and youre on your way.

As for elastix, I have found it to be the more stable of the asterisk releases.

Who did the install.

Sorry, I'm just feeding my curiosity, I dont actually know anyone in CT that does asterisk support. :p

Some shady bastards, like I said friend of a friend. Right from the get go I knew they were trouble. Tried to phone so many times but its as if they disappeared off the face of the planet.

Oh the friend of a friend did the install.. oh crap.

What hardware do you have in the box?

If youre a little technical yourself, I would suggest trying to do the install yourself. You have nothing to lose after all.

It took me about 3 days to set up asterisk for the first time, but it took some work and a little tweaking over time.

My biggest gripe with Elastix was that I could never get the damn FOP to work properly.

I also have to add that I have little Linux experience.

I can help you at a good rate using teamviewer. I support hundreds of customers all over the country that way. PM me

Thanks everyone. So many choices lol.

I just went with the first one that pm'd me. To the rest thanks for the offers.
