ASUS Eee Pad transformer

Hi guys, can one plug a 3G dongle into the device and use it to surf the web?

Will let you know as soon as I get one, but my guess is no. It doesnt have a lot of drivers for 3G dongles as I only seen a limited number of success on the net. This can also change with the 3.2 update due in the next 2+ months.

See that is the problem with this tech, you think naa maybe I should wait for November and then you hear Win 8 tablets coming out in Feb 2012 and recon naa you going to wait till then. Feb comes and Apple release iPad 3 saying coming July.

Then you think maybe you should wait just a bit more. August comes and some one announce new dual CPU tablet with X and Y, by the time you decide oh well lets go for this, I have been rocking on with my Asus Eee Pad for almost 2 years.

I must admit so far I have not seen anything that would need more power in the CPU/GPU of the device and games will take at least a year to start supporting the new devices.

Yeh this is a problem.

I am, however, set on the Android OS.

I know what you mean, the current transformer has all the power I need (I hope)

If I don't get it today I will be seriously thinking about cancelling though, probably to get the 32GB.

Thanks.
BTW I saw someone with Zinio on an Ipad yesterday, looks cool.

I am using Zinio on honeycomb (Xoom), the new version is great, works as well as on the iPad (just a few random crashes that should be resolved soon).

I did not get any? Well was reading Popular Science and PC Format, pity no NAG on it, guess I will have to go to CNA still :(

I wonder how long it'll take to get delivered?

I hope I don't have to wait until next week...

Now that is a definition of hell.... knowing your toy is there but you might only get it after the weekend, knowing that before the weekend is the best time to get a new toy.

Would you like some salt with that? :p

How much are the subs for these mags?

Well its like drugs, 1st hit was free for Popular science and Mechanics. Got PC format was R185 for 13 magazines.

FHM SA x 12 = R410.... so waiting for payday... tomorrow.

First hit was free, haha!

Anyone here bank with ABSA? How functional is the internet bankig site on your TF?
I get in OK'ish, but none of pages allow scrolling once looking at detail, like a transaction list that is obviously longer than the screen allows to view in 1 go.
I've tried the stock browser, Dolphin HD and even FireFox (good gracious - what a piece of crud!) - all the same story.

Before the bashing ABSA starts, I'm trying to determine if the problem is with:
a) the browser(s) I uses
b) Android
c) the TF
d) or ABSA
