Asus is bringing out a few other accessories that will give the Transformer USB connectivity without the need for the keyboard and without hurting the bank balance too much. The first option is the "USB flash drive reader" which simply plugs into the dock providing you with a USB port, the second option is the "Desktop stand" which includes 2 USB ports and a headphone jack (although no HDMI connection unfortunately).

Both these accessories as well as a few others are due for release in July, to see some pics of the accessories coming out take a look here.

Hey! One of the accessories is a "Mini HDMI to VGA cable"! Does that mean I could use the Transformer to display Powerpoint presentations on a VGA projector?

Holy crap, that would be extremely useful for my job. Now I really, really want one of these things.

Oooh I like, do not care to much about the other things as I am waiting for my keyboard dock and use to a netbook on my travels.

Ooh, now that's interesting. The Iconia is great, but with these accessories the transformer might have the edge again... I think I'll wait until these come out before making a decision!

On their site now and the price for the docking keyboard (tf101) is R1624.99 incl. No stock and no confirmed lead time.

This may sound like strange question, but has anyone tried tethering this tablet to a PC via usb (not wifi)?

I see on the Android Market that PDAnet Tablet is available for download: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.pdanet.tablet

But from the description and user reviews, it seems like it's only for Android-to-Android tethering, not Android-to-PC.
 
What do you mean? use your computers internet to give your tablet internet?

Sorry, I guess I should have said "tehering a PC to a tablet", not the other way around.
 
there is no TF available yet that has 3G, that one will come out in a couple months.

I still haven't got mine :)

If I don't get it tomorrow I will be very pissed off.

I will cancel and go through someone else, I will then lay complaints on every website possible, I paid for mine on the 17.. of may.

I can only imagine how you must feel. I would have been in the same boat if I didn't change my order to a 32. Originally ordered a 16 with a keyboard, still waiting for the keyboard.

I don't mind at all,

I paid 4.4k which wasn't bad at the time.

I know now you can get it for 3.9k
