I adore my Switch. the V1 version I've cherished since its release. I'm a devoted Nintendo fan though, having owned nearly every console, and I still hold onto my beloved Game Boy from the '90sAs expensive as it is that's half the price of this....
Im passing the V1 on to my daughter, but I couldn't bear to part with it, my love for Mario is too strong. The downside is that games for the Switch can be quite expensive, although Nintendo occasionally offers sales.
Comparing the Switch to the Steam Deck/Ally, they're not quite in the same league. The Deck and Ally can serve as versatile mobile workhorses, with the ability to connect to external displays for a full desktop experience.
One aspect I appreciate about the Switch is its simplicity, it's plug and play. Games work seamlessly without any hassle or tinkering required.
